From me to you, highlighting challenges faced by girls

Dear Daughters, International Day of the Girl is here!

Dear Daughters,

The first ever International Day of the Girl is here with a focus on education. Malala Yousazfai is still recovering in hospital from the October 9 attack on her life. She was shot because she believes every girl should have a chance to go to school. And she is right. They should. Let’s continue the fight for Malala and for the millions of girls around the world who do not enjoy the education you, my dear daughters, are lucky enough to enjoy.

10x10act.org is realeasing a film about 10 remarkable girls from around the globe. Visit their website for more information about the film and about how education can help girls change the world.

If you are wondering how you can help girls on International Day of the girl, one simple way is to share the trailer of 10×10’s film called Girl Rising. For each share through Facebook or Twitter, $1 is donated to girls education. So please watch the trailer, go to 10×10’s website to share it and encourage your friends and family members to do the same.
